The conversation lasted all of one minute, where the lady just kept telling me, "It's an official Microsoft product. I just got off phone support with the Xbox team at Microsoft, and they were VERY rude. I've angled it every which way for 45 minutes and cannot get it to slide in to either controllers. It shouldn't take this much force to connect the chatpad (it doesn't on my Xbox 360 controllers). If I push any harder, I'm afraid the port will snap off inside the controller. They're just touching tips, just enough for the pins or the plastic guides to grind against each other, but not slip into each other. I can hear the pins in the metallic ports clinking and grinding against each other if I wiggle it with some force, but they're not actually connected. There are people who say to "just wiggle the chatpad" or to "angle it up or down". However, everything is aligned and all I can hear is the clink of metal-against-metal between the I have an Xbox 360 chatpad, so I know how it may be awkward to slip on (a bit angled). I purchased a chatpad a few months ago and just now unboxed it, but it will not fit. I have an Xbox One Lunar White controller (for the launch day model Xbox One) and a newly purchased basic Xbox One S controller (came with the Xbox One S, in the box).

The first 5 pages of search results on this sub doesn't return a discussion, so I'm making a new post. There's a heated debate on Amazon reviews for the official Xbox One chatpad (model 1676), where some users say it doesn't fit most controllers, while others say it slips on easily. Microsoft sells these chaptpads with the same model # and same box, but there are at least seven revisions to it because older fabrications do not fit the newer Xbox One controllers. Please read the comments below, as they contain the LOT #s and their compatibility. I don't even have to force it - it slips in as easy as a USB thumb drive slips into a USB port. The box is exactly the same, the package contents look the same, but the LOT # is the only thing that looks different.įortunately, this revision slips right in to all of my controllers.

It is of the same model 1676, but the revision/LOT # is different: 1547. I received my replacement Xbox One chatpad from Microsoft.
